sunday’s my fun day

Sunday . . . I love Sundays.  Here are 9 reasons why:

1. The world seems slower.  Have you ever noticed that?  Just driving to Target seems like people aren’t in as much of a hurry.
2. If I have to work, I get paid time and a half and I get out at 3.  It gives me enough time to do something and get stuff done.
3. Comics in color.  It makes them seem slightly more entertaining.
4. Breakfast is bigger.  For some reason, when I lived by myself and even now there is something about Sunday that makes me make a big breakfast with pancakes and bacon and eggs.  There’s always leftovers.
5. 60 Minutes – perhaps that last true piece of journalism.  It gives me hope that people are actually being informed in this country.
6. Naps are better on Sundays.
7. I have a chance to catch up on the TiVo stuff.  It’s mainly Daily Show, Colbert Report, random reality TV, The Office.
8. Football in the afternoons. It reminds me of college.
9. The Amazing Race – best. show. ever.

It’s all good until the alarm goes off at 6:15 Monday morning. I hope you enjoyed your Sunday as much as I did.
